How To Measure

The numbered guides here correspond to the numbers contained on the Croque form.  Use this list with the Croque to help guide you in taking correct measurements.  You may need someone to help you with some of these measurements.  A seamstress or alterations person may be best able to help if necessary.

  1.  Shoulder- Measure from the one side of your shoulder to the other, at the point on the shoulder before the arm “drops off”.  This would be where the sleeve seam would be on the shoulder.
  2. Center Back over the Shoulder to the Wrist-  Measure from the center of the spine at the back neck, across the shoulder and down the sleeve to the wrist where you will want the sleeve to end. This measurement should be in the range of 31” to 34”.
  3. Bicep- Measure your arm circumference at the widest part of your arm.
  4. Bust- Measure your bust circumference at the apex of your breast. It is helpful to know your bra size as well.
  5. Waist- Measure your waist circumference at the narrowest part of your midsection.
  6. High Hip- Measure your hip at 3-4” down from your waist.
  7.  Hip- Measure your hip circumference at the widest part of your hip.  Please indicate if your hip gets wide at a higher or lower part of your hip area.
  8. Front Shoulder to Waist- A- Measure from the center of your shoulder, to your waist, over the bust and to the place that you measured your waist. B- Measure from the shoulder again, but this time beside the bust and to the waist.
  9. Back Shoulder to Waist-  Measure from the center of your shoulder, to your waist in the back.
  10. Total Length from Shoulder-  Measure the total length from the center of the shoulder to the floor, front and back, or wherever your garment is to finish.  Please indicate what height shoe you will be wearing.
  11.  Side Seam (Skirt length or Pant Side seam)- Measure the length you would like your skirt or pants to finish by measuring at the side seam of your skirt or pant, from the waist to the hem.  You may also receive your pants without hems if you like.
  12. Pant Rise- Measure your rise from center front waist to center back waist.  Please indicate whether you like extra room in your rise length or not.
  13. Thigh- Measure your leg at the widest part.
